Policy for Plagiarism
British Journal of Business Sciences (BJBS) upholds a strict policy against all forms of plagiarism to ensure academic integrity and the originality of published research.
- Definition of Plagiarism:
Plagiarism refers to the use of another individual’s ideas, words, data, or creative work without appropriate attribution. This includes verbatim copying, improper paraphrasing, presenting previously published material as original, or using content without proper citation. - Screening Process:
All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using trusted detection software prior to peer review. Submissions exhibiting significant overlap or unethical duplication will be returned to authors for revision or rejected, depending on the severity. - Author Responsibility:
Authors are responsible for ensuring their work is free from plagiarism. All borrowed content must be properly quoted, paraphrased, and cited in accordance with academic referencing standards. - Editorial Action:
If plagiarism is identified after publication, BJBS will act in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Actions may include issuing a correction, retraction, or notifying the author’s institution.
BJBS is committed to maintaining high ethical standards and promoting responsible research and publication practices.
