Author Guidelines
Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts through our online system or via email at editor@britishopensciences.com. Authors can track submission progress through the “My Submissions” section. For technical support, contact the editorial office.
Article Processing Charges: BJBS does not charge submission or publication fees. All articles are published free of cost to support open access without financial barriers.
Article Preparation Assistance: Optional services upon request include language editing, formatting, translation, illustration, and graphical abstract design.
Submission Format: Submit an editable document with abstract, introduction, methods, results, and conclusion. Figures/tables can be embedded or uploaded separately. Include your ORCID ID via https://orcid.org. Also, prepare a separate title page with manuscript title, abstract (~200 words), keywords, author details (names, affiliations, emails), and ethics approval if applicable.
Peer Review: BJBS uses a double-anonymized peer review system. Ensure all identifying author information is removed from the manuscript and added only to the separate title page.
Manuscript Length: Submissions should be between 3,000–7,000 words, excluding references, tables, figures, and appendices. Articles beyond this limit may require trimming before peer review.
Accepted Article Types: BJBS welcomes original research, empirical studies, conceptual papers, and comprehensive literature reviews with a clear academic contribution.
Referencing Style: Use APA 7th edition. Example in-text citation: (Reynolds, 2021).
